Dagaz – Dagaz is a rune that works with time. This is the rune of realization. When this rune appears to us it asks us to awaken, or experience an awakening in ourselves. Dagaz looks like a balancing act, but really it is about staying centered, while calmly surveying the horizon. When we balance between points, looking in both directions at once, what inspiration are we able to uncover? Dagaz is also a gateway of sorts. Laguz – Laguz translates to ocean or water, which is a nod to our unconscious or subconscious. Water is also the beginning or the root of all things. We all came from the water.
